Who we are
RE•DESIGN is a dealer in vintage Italian lighting, based in Antwerp, Belgium, operating by appointment. For anything in this policy, or to exercise any of your rights below, write to info@redesign.shop. [Add your registered business name, address, and VAT/registration number, and a named data contact if you have one.]
What we collect
When you send an enquiry about a piece, we collect the details you type into the form: your name, email address, and the message you write. We also keep the email correspondence that follows.
Our host may record standard technical information (such as IP address and basic request logs) for security and to keep the site running. [State here whether you use any analytics or cookies — if you don't, say so explicitly.]
Why we use it
We use your details for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it, and to correspond with you about pieces you're interested in. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before any sale (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for [retention period — e.g. 24 months] after our last contact, then delete it, unless we need to keep it longer for a genuine reason such as a completed sale or a legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing. We only pass it to the service providers we need to run the studio — for example our email and hosting providers [name them] — and only so they can provide that service to us.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it, and you can ask for a copy in a portable form. Email info@redesign.shop and we'll respond within one month.
If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), dataprotectionauthority.be.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
